L-Alanine Hydrochloride powder (pure)

L-Alanine is one of the most gustatory stimulatory amino acids to carp. It aids the metabolism of glucose use for energy, among other roles. It is highly concentrated in muscle tissue. Not only carp but also carnivorous fish, like catfish, pike etc have a taste for this amino acid.

Note: beta alanine found commonly sold is not the same as L-alanine.

Research at several universities worldwide has demonstrated that certain amino acids are highly attractive to carp and that they will stimulate feeding. In tests with single amino acid supplements it indicated that L-alanine was the best gustatory feeding stimulant.

Alanine is found in high levels in natural food of bottom fish, like crustaceans, worm, bloodworm, tubifex etc.

Appearance: white crystaline powder, as this powder has the tendency to clot it is best to mix this with your fluids first, or smash it with a spoon.

Solubility: soluble in cold water
