Pop up mix Plain
Ready to use milk protein based pop-up mix, available in fluoro orange, fluoro pink and plain. As the fluoro mixes will give enhanced visibility, the plain mix will give a washed out appearance which could trigger very wary carp.
This mix is very easy rolling and has a great buoyancy. It is possible to mix around 15-20% other dry ingredients/additives to make your own unique pop ups, preferably light ingredients / extracts like full fat GLM, salminol extract powder, powdered flavours, sweetener, amino acids, crayfish meal, etc. Next to this you can use all kind of liquids, as long as they are not too heavy.
This mix can be made using eggs and a small quantity of liquids / powders of your choice, or it can be made using appr 12gr whole egg powder and appr 5gr egg albumin instead of liquid eggs with 100gr mix. This will give the advantage of using more liquid foods in your popups.
Please note that the dough must be soft and moist at first, it will become firmer rather fast. If need be add some water.
For 20mm popups we recommend a boiling time of 2.5-3 minutes or steaming for at least 6 minutes.
For producing wafters we recommend as a guideline to use around 15-25% pop up mix with 85-75% basemix.
